Sponsor an Animal

Who can sponsor?

Individuals: for self, or gifts such as birthdays, graduations, endowments, and holidays

Scout groups: for meetings and badges

Church groups: for small clubs, entire church community outreach

College groups: for service projects and hours, sororities, fraternities

Why sponsor?

Second Chances receives no state, city, nor federal funding. 100% of animal care comes from private contributions from animal lovers and kind people like you. Consider the costs of feeding over 200 animals each year plus providing medical care and individualized housing. Cleaning is a substantial expense as well. Your sponsorship will help ensure the best care possible which ensures a successful release back into the wild. Please consider joining our Second Chances family.

All donations are tax deductible.

If you’d like to sponsor an animal, please fill out the application and return it with payment to Second Chances, PO Box 572, Goshen KY 40026. If this is a gift for someone, confirmation will go to you and all items will be mailed to the indicated party with a note specifying you as the provider. A gift card will be enclosed.

Our animals in need:

lucky

Lucky, our educational ambassador

Lucky enjoys sleeping and treats of broccoli. She shows her love by “washing your hair” with slobber. Lucky's favorite activity is sleeping and sneaking around the room pretending that you can't see her. Lucky lacked the skills needed to survive in the wild. Her seven brothers and sisters were all released.

coonies

Coonies, our educational ambassador

Coonies loves to play and is quite ornery. She would not make a good dinner date as she likes to play with her food. She also tries to take piggy back rides when we claen out her cage. Silly girl! She is not releasable due to slight brain damage.

bat

Bella, our educational ambassador

Bella, a little brown bat, came to us in very bad shape as she was found on a barn floor with puncture wounds and a broken arm. We had to amputate one wing for her survival but she is doing so well and is so sweet. She likes to snuggle in our hands and take naps.

Squirrel

Seasonal eastern gray squirrels

Seasonal eastern gray squirrels are sweet when they are infants and quickly get fiesty! Squirrels are super fast and enjoy both playing with small toys and sleeping in a hideout. When they are very small, they sleep on their backs and twitch. It looks like squirrel dreams.

skunk

Milton, our educational ambassador

Milton was abandoned by his entire family. We gave him a new one. Milton is very stubborn and loves to eat. His favorites foods include peas and ginger snaps. He loves to make big messes and has so much fun doing so. When he sneaks in the food pantry, he thinks it is like going to Disney World.
